About Our Practice in Calgary

Heidi is our office manager at Eye on Evanston, bringing her warmth and problem-solving skills to the team. With over a decade of experience in the eye care industry, she began her career in 2010, working in ophthalmology as an admin and technician before transitioning into optometry. In 2014, Heidi opened her own business, gaining valuable knowledge in operations and management. After returning to the optometry field in 2023, she now thrives in her current role, where she loves helping staff and patients, fostering a welcoming environment, and supporting the growth of her team.

Outside of work, Heidi enjoys camping, biking, and paddleboarding. She’s also the proud mom of 2 active children, who keep her on her toes.

Harsh is an optician and contact lens practitioner at Eye on Evanston, bringing over 7 years of experience in the eye care industry. A graduate of Georgian College’s Opticianry program in 2017, Harshdeep is known for his caring, responsible, and positive approach to patient care. 

His favourite part of the job is helping people see better and building strong relationships with his patients. Outside of work, Harshdeep enjoys working out, listening to podcasts, reading books, and spending quality time with his family.

Naz is a seasoned frame stylist at Eye on Evanston, known for his friendly, honest, and hardworking approach to helping patients find the perfect eyewear. With 20 years of experience in the eye care industry, Naz is a vital part of our team. He graduated from NAIT in 2006 with a diploma in opticianry, which laid the foundation for his expertise in both function and fashion.

Naz’s greatest fulfillment comes from helping people look great, feel confident, and see clearly. When he’s not at the clinic, you can find him cheering on his favourite hockey team, tending to his garden, or enjoying quality time with his wife and son.

Abril is a calm and focused professional known for being a great listener with a friendly demeanour. With just over a month and a half in the current role and one year of experience in the eye care industry, Abril is passionate about providing quality care. A 2024 graduate of SAIT, where Abril trained as an optician and contact lens practitioner, Abril finds fulfillment in helping clients discover the perfect eyewear. 

For Abril, it’s rewarding to enhance someone’s vision while also contributing to their personal style. Outside of work, Abril enjoys watching sports, listening to music, and dining out at new restaurants. As a fan of the outdoors, camping is a favourite activity, as well as relaxing with a good movie or TV series.

Christina makes a big impact with her bubbly, enthusiastic, and kind personality. As the first point of contact for patients, she strives to help everyone feel welcome and well cared for, working hard to make each visit a positive experience. 

Christina’s favourite part of her job is helping patients and making sure they have an amazing time at the clinic. She also enjoys the camaraderie she shares with her team and appreciates the fun and successful work environment they’ve created together.

Before entering the eye care industry, Christina graduated from NIWE Academy in 2021 as a certified esthetician, finishing at the top of her class. Though she’s new to eye care, her dedication to making others feel their best has smoothly transitioned into her current role.

Outside of work, Christina loves watching sports, spending time with friends and family, and travelling to new places. She also enjoys dog sitting for her friends, finding joy in caring for their furry companions.

Forouzan Zare graduated from Shiraz University with a bachelor’s degree in physical education and sports sciences. In 2023, she joined SAIT to pursue the optician program.

Forouzan loves spreading enthusiasm and positivity to everyone she meets. She’s a creative spirit who finds inspiration in fashion and design, always looking for ways to improve herself in both her personal and professional life.

Building strong relationships with her patients is important to Forouzan, and she strives to bring joy and humour to every interaction.

Outside of work, Forouzan is committed to staying active through regular gym sessions and structured pilates workouts. This helps her stay committed to her overall health goals and fuels her personal goal of approaching each day with renewed energy and focus.
